8/11/21 Rainier from the Maple Leaf neighborhood |
I know all the spots in my neighborhood from which I can see
Mt. Rainier, and I’ve sketched them all by now. Or I thought I had. On
Wednesday morning, out early to beat the expected heat, I gazed past the North Substation towers (which I’ve also sketched a few times) and suddenly
noticed Her Majesty back there. It’s always nice to be surprised by overly
familiar territory.
I like it, though it's a great example how human detritus an mess with a great view. At least we sketchers can take advantage of it :-)
ReplyDeleteGreg, as a photographer, is always cursing the detritus, while I embrace it. ;-)
DeleteA surprise new view of the mountain must have been great to see!!
ReplyDeleteIt was a true peek-a-boo view!
