Although I walk and sketch in the Green Lake neighborhood
frequently, I hadn’t sketched at the park itself in a while, nor had I sketched
at Starbucks in a long while. When I got a promotion for a half-price beverage
last week, I decided it was a good opportunity to do both. I got a table facing
my favorite Green Lake trees – a stand of beautiful burly, bumpy ones that I never tire of sketching.
