About
a month ago, I showed you Tony’s lovely decorative cherry tree in full bloom. Now his trellised wisteria is at peak, so I went
back to his Beacon Hill home for a chance to sketch the purple. Unlike
cherries, I don’t seem many wisteria trees in these parts, so the grape-like clusters
of blossoms were a new challenge. I wasn’t too pleased with this composition or
the messy shadows, but it felt so good to sketch with the warm sun at my back
that I could have been sketching a stone in the road, and I would have been just
as happy.
