I’ve sketched inside the Starbucks Reserve and Roastery several times, both by myself and
with USk Seattle, but it’s always been in the winter when I didn’t want to
spend much time outside. The last time I sketched there in January, I swore I’d return another day in warmer weather
to sketch the outside of the building.
Don't you hate it when this happens? |
That day finally came last Friday when I was downtown on my donut mission. On that beautiful
sunny morning, I walked across the street from the Roastery and found the
perfect shaded spot. I had just opened my sketchbook when a truck pulled up right
in front of me. I could tell by the kinds of stuff being unloaded that it would
be there a while, so I crossed kitty-corner to another spot. It turned out to
be a more interesting angle on the building anyway, so I have that truck to
thank.
