5/31/23 Maple Leaf neighborhood |
Within a couple of blocks, several new houses are under
various stages of construction in Maple Leaf. All are behemoths compared to the
traditional homes around them – the kind that the behemoths have replaced,
often two or even three at a time. This one is typical: A large single-family
residence with a smaller “attached accessory dwelling unit” in back. (I learned
this term by seeing the convenient label AADU on the dwelling.) Even the smaller
one has three stories and probably more square footage than our house.
