1/2/19 Maple Leaf neighborhood |
Maple Leaf has a few short, oddball streets that stop after
a few blocks. If I can get a parking spot at the end of those streets right
where the cross-street forms the top of the “T,” I can sketch the front of a
house from my mobile studio.
The last time I was able to do this, it was a cold but sunny day. Not so on this day – it was overcast, rain a dark and distinct threat, and though it was only about 2 p.m., the light looked like it was near
nightfall. But as I always say, a sketch on a crummy day is better than none.
Yes, sketching daily is a remedy to this weather. I, too, have noticed how dark it can seem in the middle of the day.
ReplyDeleteGlad you were able to find a parking space to sketch this view. Nice!!
