12/31/18 Bryant neighborhood |
After several days of the usual winter nastiness in the form
of high winds, relentless rain and low light that always feels like it’s 4
p.m., the last day of 2018 dawned with fog that finally burned off around noon.
Although the temperature was still only in the mid-30s by then, I took a drive around
the neighborhoods just to remind myself what sunshine looks like. I didn’t have
it in me to get out of the car, but I’m always happy to sketch from my mobile
studio, especially when the sky is blue.
Speaking of blue, look at the length of those shadows at around
1 p.m.! It might as well be dusk.
