When it’s too cold or wet to work outside, some sketchers
stay indoors and sketch from photographs. It’s not the same as drawing from
life, but it’s better than not drawing, and it’s still a good way to work on
skills.
I could have picked one of my own photos from various
travels, but the fact is, I’m not a very good photographer, so nothing from my
digital collection inspired me. But who says photo sources have to be scenic? I
found this magazine photo sufficiently inspiring.
