Poor Macrina Bakery. The utility work that I sketched more than two weeks ago is still ongoing, right outside their front door. It
doesn’t seem to be having any detrimental effect on their business, though: On a
late Friday morning, I saw one party walk across the street carrying their
pastries and coffee to the park picnic tables because all the tables inside
were full. The cornettos and cinnamon rolls were moving fast – much faster than
this utility project.
Good sketch of the workmen and their activity. I wonder how often they stop and go into the bakery.
