I didn’t have to go very far to peep these leaves. At the end
of our block where it intersects Fifth Northeast stands the prettiest Japanese
maple in the ‘hood. Toward the end of a busy day, I caught the low sun setting
one side of it on fire.

Oh, that's too bad that you aren't getting any color there! It's spotty here, too... some trees are just turning brown, while others are exploding with color.
