From the Corner Table

It seems like it’s been ages since I sketched at Zoka Coffee, which is typically my favorite winter-weather sketching haunt. I got there early to grab the best sketching seat in the house – in the corner, the high window light behind me, where I can see in all directions.

I often use Diamine Chocolate Brown ink when I’m sketching at Zoka because it evokes the café’s warm wood interior (and maybe also coffee). But when I arrived there this morning, my phone app said it was 38 degrees outside, so I unconsciously reached for the pen containing chilly Diamine Sapphire ink instead. I didn’t mean to make it look so cold in there, but I guess that’s the way I was feeling.

  1. Sounds a bit on the chilly side, so I'm sure the coffee hit the spot. Nice sketches!
