If you follow the global Urban Sketchers organization’s Instagram account, you may have noticed something vaguely familiar: My symposium pencil tin collection! A sponsorship coordinator contacted me
recently because she had heard that I owned a complete collection of the Cretacolor
tins. They were promoting long-time symposium sponsors, she said, and a photo
of my tin collection was just what they needed!
Of course, I was more than happy to oblige. How often does one’s pencil tin collection receive international attention?
A little fame for you and your tins! Cool!!

DeleteThese are great! I love the tins, are the pigments in each one for the area the symposium was held?
ReplyDeleteNo... the pencils were the same in almost all of them -- just a sampling of Cretacolor's offerings.
DeleteHow wonderfully geeky!! So…did you have any conversation about the (phantom) Barcelona tin?? Anne HwH
ReplyDeleteRe: Barcelona: No one seems to know anything about it! I seem to be the only person on earth (except the owner of the ONE) who ever witnessed anything. I feel like a UFO observer that no one believes. ;-)
DeleteThis is super cool but also it sort of implies no one "official" at Cretacolor or USK has the full set?!
ReplyDeleteI suppose that's true! Or perhaps no one else proudly shows off their collection on their blog! ;-)
