Our Christmas tree has been blocking the livingroom window where I usually sketch nocturnes. From my upstairs studio, I can see
a little further west down our street than I can from downstairs, so it was a
good opportunity to sketch some different houses from up there. My habit has
been to make nocturne sketches before dawn,
but 4:30 p.m. is plenty dark enough, especially on a rainy night.
I like the touch of colored lights in the front of the house. I wish I could do this here, but I face trees out all of my windows. I would have to actually at least drive out of my garage. It is very hard to get me to go out once I'm already in and comfy. lol
