I’m on the Art Supply Posse Podcast!

Art Supply Posse podcast, which features artists talking about their work and their materials, interviewed me about urban sketching (and I reveal its superpower)! It was delightful to talk with host Kim Cofield about my urban sketching lifestyle, how I got started, and why I keep going. Colored pencils are mentioned. šŸ˜‰ Please give it a listen! (The link above goes to Apple, but you can find it on any podcast app.)

  1. Loved hearing your voice and thoroughly enjoyed the interview! Who was the woman who did the interview? I looked but I couldn't find her name anywhere.

  2. This was great, Tina! I loved hearing about your path into urban sketching and I was delighted to hear you validate my conviction that water colors are HARD. You may have galvanized me to start working more frequently with colored pencils, even if it's just doodles in my journal. I discovered them when I was in elementary school and you could buy single Venus pencils at the local Woolworth's. Somewhere in a carton I still have that collection. I must have taken it to college with me since I know it escaped my mother's purge when she and my Dad downsized!

    1. I appreciate your listening! And thank you for sharing your colored pencil history... I love it that almost everyone has a childhood memory of colored pencils! I hope you find them... that would be really special.
