New Bird in the ‘Hood

 

5/10/21 Maple Leaf Park

Hoping that The Mountain might be out, we headed for Maple Leaf Park, but it was too hazy near the horizon. Instead, we spotted a new bird there: a red crane. On the site of yet another boxy apartment complex going up on Roosevelt Way, it’s the tallest crane we’ve seen in our neighborhood in a while.
