Ten workshops taught by 10 of Seattle’s best urban sketchers
– that’s what the 10x10 program is!
For the second year, Seattle USk is taking part in the global Urban Sketchers initiative to offer a series of workshops on
urban sketching techniques taught by local instructors in their home cities.
Yesterday at Daniel Smith’s Seattle store, we kicked off the
program with a free event so that potential students could meet the instructors.
Each instructor gave a brief presentation on their workshop. Then all the
instructors spread out their sketchbooks on tables to give students a peek at
their work.
Last year I was an audience member, so I had more time to sketch each presenter. This year I’m
helping to organize the program, so I spent more time documenting with photos.
Still, I couldn’t resist sneaking in quick sketches of Jane and Andika.
