Bikes in the ‘Hood

When the weather gets good, sketchers aren’t the only ones that come out for some sun – motorcycles do, too. Most of them must hibernate all winter in garages, but as soon as the rain stops, I see them parked all around the ‘hood.

Easy to capture in my small Field Notes notebook, they are starting to become a theme (anything more than one is a theme, right?). They are infinitely more fun to sketch than cars (except vintage cars, of course) – all those visible mechanical parts, swooping seats and shiny bits.
