Pool, Top and Side

From our room on the 23^rd floor of the South Point Hotel and Casino, I had an unusual view of the hotel’s pool. The palm trees growing poolside cast long-reaching shadows in the late afternoon sun.

That evening, more interested in sketching than in pumping a paycheck or two into a slot machine, I stayed poolside to sketch the lifeguard, a few swimmers and more palm trees.
