Here's an article about it: http://www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news/new-life-on-lake-union-for-brave-old-lightship-swiftsure/MiataGrrlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00727208043312788510noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-220865105573981879.post-24072493999378805272015-06-30T05:08:13.248-07:002015-06-30T05:08:13.248-07:00Oops...meant to ask about the boat with the smokes...Oops...meant to ask about the boat with the smokestack. I agree with you about covering the basics. In some ways, USK is moving away from its original goal of getting people drawing simply because the quality of 'urban sketches' is becoming more like plein air painting than sketching. We all should be aware that the strength of the organization comes from the more simple recruitment message(s).

People here don't know what urban sketching is, though I'm heading to Montreal next weekend to visit with the USK Montreal group and I'm very excited about that.larryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09499637631503513759noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-220865105573981879.post-22927635814057350352015-06-30T04:48:51.666-07:002015-06-30T04:48:51.666-07:00Sounds interesting with great results Tina.

Nice sketches especially the one of the boats and the cranes. I like the idea of varying the line widths...sounds like common sense which I guess I don't have. lol Thanks for sharing what you learned!Joan Tavolotthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11290923567339587417noreply@blogger.com
