Well, that's not exactly what I mean. Just that anyone who thinks memories will eventually hurt less with time, well, if you truly love a person, the memories will always bring that mix you mention, sometimes more joy than sadness, sometimes more sadness than joy. I've been surprised at how painful memories from over 25 years ago have become for me in the last half dozen years. I wasn't anticipating that.
So true. And, I hate to tell you, it doesn't get better or easier with time . . .
